The REI aims to provide a service to the community by making quality, affordable computer equipment available to eligible groups and by the provision of training opportunities.

Customers who purchase equipment from the REI centres benefit from the extra peace of mind provided by the code of conduct. This includes:

  • a documented, auditable quality standard within each business for refurbished equipment. This includes the removal of all viruses and quality testing of components
  • all software supplied is appropriately licensed
  • all equipment is electrically safe
  • all centres operate under a health, safety and environmental policy and strive for best practice in these areas.

A decision to buy computer equipment from an REI centre is also a decision to demonstrate a commitment to the environment, community and the local economy.
